Hey all, I just spoke with another guest Orlando who fished with us last week with his family. He said his trip was Dynamite! He said the weather was gorgeous and everyone caught a lot of big fish. Rainbows, rainbows, rainbows everywhere. His biggest rainbow was 28 inches long by 16 and a half inches in girth! The guides guessed it was 12-13 pounds in weight. He also caught some 27 and 26 inch fish. He told me he could not even begin to guess how many fish they caught over two feet. He also said they were all heavy fish. Big Mike agreed, all heavy fish to be sure. Big Mike and the rest of the staff at Rainbow Point beat on the fish as well over the last few days. Though they are all in anchorage now they fished several days and Mike said the fishing was second to none and it was very hard to leave. Truly a year we wish we were still fishing in October. He stated that fishing with articulated leeches in the tail outs was awesome and the takes thunderous. It reminded him of steelhead fishing except they caught fish in big numbers. We would like to thank our staff and guests for a great year of fishing and fellowship and wish you all a blessed day. Very Sincerely Mark and Brad, Alaska Rainbow Point Lodge. 877 850 5858. P.S. Check in next week. We will have final reports and spring predictions on the fly fishing for trophy rainbow trout during the month of June, tight lines.
