Hey all, Mark here. I have spoken with a few guests from last week and have some fresh news on the local fishing. Our school teacher friend Neil finished a two week fishing vacation he planned for ten years. In short his stay in Alaska was the trip of a lifetime and a dream full filled. He caught hundreds of rainbows. Most over twenty inches. Many over two feet. Many in the upper twenties and six, seven, eight and nine plus pounds. Some heart breakers too from thirty plus inches and ten plus pounds lost. It happens this time of year. The truly gigantic leopard trout of iliamna are hard to put your hands on, though Neil did a great job of putting his hands on as many of them as he could. His only complaint is he is not there now. Post fishing depression. Another Guest Michael also had a wonderful week fishing and floating our rivers. Sixty five plus fish days. Great weather now by the way, around sixty degrees. Micheal is trying very hard to put a group together for next year. Most guests want to come back and Sept will fill up shortly for 2011 for sure. I have not spoken with everyone yet but will post a report as soon as I do. I did speak with Brad this week and we have a group of guests and friends we have known for ten years up there as we speak. They are in to the best fishing they have ever had in Alaska and they had a lot of time up there. They have re booked for the same week next year. Their very first day was the best day of their lives. Lots of big rainbows caught and landed. A very happy group. For sure with all the reports this is some of the best rainbow fishing ever. People are breaking their personal best records. Conditions are perfect. The salmon continue to expire by the day. Each week we have more big fish being caught. We are open this week and the next and look forward to more fresh fish fishing reports. We will add photos as we get them. We want to thank everyone involved for a great year and look forward to next spring. Look for us next week for another report and have a blessed day! Sincerely Mark. 877 850 5858.
